Time Out interaction with Facebook
Timeout is running a number of events on it's Facebook page. For example you can sign up to get free tickets and backstage passes to shows. Using a Facebook API we are able to capture the name / email addresses submitted on Facebook to the Timeout CMS. This allows Timeout admin to select the winners, and to use the opt-in emails for later marketing events.

timeout.com.hk blueprinting
Timeout.com.hk is the website built to support the Time Out Hong Kong bi-weekly magazine.
While we had templates from London, New York and other cities to follow, the Hong Kong site had its own identity, requirements and (of course) content.
Timeout.com.hk has constantly revolving content, and the main requirement of the online editorial team was a simple CMS to update and publish content and images.
The site also needed to engage its audience with the facility to participate in interactive polls, give feedback on articles, and submit reviews.
The site has an integrated search engine for finding content, and interactive Google Maps for finding venues for events and restaurants, etc.
And the team at Time Out had good things to say about us:
The Pilot team has proven itself responsive, creative, and attentive to details. We have been extremely happy with the easy-to-use content management system and Pilot's ongoing support. Where challenges have arisen, Pilot - working closely with Time Out Hong Kong's online team and the web manager for Time Out International - have developed, and implemented, workable solutions. The Pilot team has also contributed ideas for improving the website's functionality and user experience.
We were particularly impressed with the way Pilot responded under pressure to help launch www.timeout.com.hk within a very short timeframe in April 2008. During that period, the team worked overtime to overcome numerous technical challenges and complications that threatened to delay our launch. That the problems were addressed and we could launch our website concurrently with the magazine on April 23, 2008, represents a significant achievement.
